Sainsbury's Local, in High Street, Newhall, has donated £500 to its charity of the year - The Old Post Centre.
The £500 is part of the supermarket's "Community Grant" scheme which helps charitable groups in the community.
The money was funded through the sales of Bags for Life where customers pay 10p and they then keep that bag for life. Last year the scheme raised £135,000 for locally based charitable projects.
